Site Tips

1) Pick an original name. If you pick something generic, someone else will have it and its not good to have the same name as someone else. ANd when you have a unique name, it just catches peoples eyes more than if you were "layouts inc."

2) Dont s4s 100 times a day on myspace!! Personals hate it, and you will lose alot of friends that way. When youre a small site, you have to a little but i wouldnt do it more than twice a day. I dont recommened doing it at all, though. If you have good stuff, people will add you without having to post bulletins.

3) Make sure you have enough stuff before you open you site. If you try to get people to look at your site and you have NOTHING on it, they wont keep looking, andit wont do you any good. If youre a layout site, have at least 30 layouts opening up, If youre a icon site, have at least 200, etc. etc.

4) Dont ask other people how to make stuff. If youre a new layout site, and dont know how to make layouts, If totally defeats the purpose, doesnt it?! Most layout sites will not take the time to sit there and explain to you how to make a layout. I tought myself, its not that hard.

5) You gotta be nice. When people contact you, reply to them, with a nice answer. If youre rude, they will tell thier friends, and nobody will like you and you will lose hot counts in the long run. It wont kill you to slap a smile on :]

6) Try to make your stuff look nice. If all your stuff looks like it was made on paint, nobody will use it and people will delete you. I understand if you dont have any downloadable picture editors. I dont either. Go to blibs.com and online-image-edtior.com. And download fonts off of dafont.com to make everyting look snazzy! you can only use the fonts on blibs, though. But anyway,, yeaahhh. And you could also download photofiltre. Its pretty good, and its free. Google it.

7) Its ok to request a few things from other sites. But when practically everything on your site is made by other people, it becomes a problem. People will consider you unoriginal, and probably not go to your site as often.

8) Make sure your site is organized. If your stuff is hard to find, people arent going to like that. If you have your support code somwhere, make sure its somewhere easy to find!! People dont like having to search for your crap.

9) Be patient. If you comment someone, or request something from someone else and they dont answer, do not get pissed off about it. Chances are, you didnt read the rules, or they are very busy or they read it and forgot to reply (because ive done that lol). Just comment them again asking why they didnt reply. If they dnot reply again, let it go. move onn.

10) And lastly, d0n+ +yp3 l!!k3 +h!$ .. or LiiKE THiiS on a regular basis. Youll seem incredibly stupid.
